PHOENIX PROBE HAS LANDED ON MARS

MARS PHOENIX LANDER UPDATE - TOUCHDOWN
A signal has been detected from Phoenix indicating that the lander is on the surface of Mars.

PHOENIX IS SCHEDULED TO TOUCH DOWN ON THE NORTHERN ICY PLAINS OF MARS ON MAY 25.

NASA TV will cover landing envents. Confirmation of the landing could come as early as 7:53 p.m. EDT (4:53 p.m. PDT).
